Fiapre Traditional Authority holds free Vacation Classes for over 800 students

The Fiapre Traditional Authority together with the Fiapre Youth Association (FYA) have once again opened the learning beautiful gate for JHS and SHS students leaving in Fiapre town and it's environs to study for free during this long vacation.

Obrempong Free Vacation classes, is an annual ritual which is championed and initiated by the chief of Fiapre, Oberepong Professor kyem Amponsah ll with the aim of controlling the movements of the youth in Fiapre and to mobilizing them for extra tuition at his own disbursement.

Over eight hundred (800) pupils and students has been registered so far at the on going free vacation classes with classes ranging from Basic Six (P6) to SHS 3. Subjects thaught include Core Mathematics, Integrated Science, English Language and Social Studies.

Speaking to the president of Fiapre Youth Association (FYA)  Nathaniel Sefa Boakye (Sir Nat), he said the motive behind this organization is to enhance quality education to the people of the town and to keep students them from roaming about idle during this long vacation. .
He added that, the ultimate aim is to also help achieve Sustainable Development Goal Four (SDG 4) which is Quality Education for all.

A section of students who spoke to our reporter, expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the chief of the town and the organizers of this years classes since it has kept them under control and boring vacation.

An SHS3 student in an interview, spoke on how the classes over the past three years has helped her to have an idea on what they will be doing the next academic year and has always given her an upper hand over her colleagues in class, she said.
