Jackson College of Education's Students Wailing over Management Decision

Jackson College of Education offers a 3-year Diploma in Basic Education by Distance Learning. JEC is accredited by the National Accreditation Board and affiliated to the University of Education, Winneba.

Students of Jackson College of Education calling management to explain to them why they should pay for the papers they were disallowed to write by the management during the end of Second Semester Examination in 2018.

Students owing School Fees were not allowed to write the end of the Second Semester Examination. The management of the Institution, has ordered all supervisors at their various centres to inform the students who were not allowed to partake the examination to pay Ghc120 for each paper, this means, students writing five papers are to GHC600 each.

"Dear Supervisors please kindly remind your students that RESIT AND  SUPLIMEMTARY EXAM WILL TAKE PLACE AT RESIT CENTRES.
ALL AFFECTED STUDENTS MUST REGISTER ONLINE ON THEIR  PORTAL AND PAY THE PRESCRIBED AMOUNT.
PAYMENT BY  CASH AT THE CENTRES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED THEREFORE KINDLY ADVISE YOUR STUDENTS TO PREPARE ADEQUATELY FOR THE EXAMS. THE AMOUNT FOR BOTH EXAMS HAVE NOT CHANGED THEREFORE STUDENTS SHOULD TAKE NOTE OF THAT . THANKS." Message from Headquarters to the Supervisor.

Meanwhile, the heads of the institution urged students who thought paying fees would be headache to them to apply for students loan. And according to report gathered, almost all the students who were disallowed from writing the examination have applied for the loan.

Students are now wailing over the decision of their management.
"Management should explain to as why we are paying that money because I don't understand." One of the students said.

" The right thing they should have done is to allow us to write the examination and seize our cert if fees is not paid." Another student said.
