Oda Government Staffs Donate Ambulance to Hospital




The staff of the Akim Oda Government Hospital yesterday donated a GH¢65,000.00 home used ambulance to help hasten the activities and services rendered by the institution in the Birim Central Municipality and beyond.

Speaking at the inauguration and handing over of the vehicle to the administration of the Health Institution, the Head of the Physiotherapy Department on behalf of the Medical Superintendent; Mr Adu Gyamfi revealed that it had become imperative for the hospital to purchase the vehicle hence decided all (staff) contribute GH¢10.oo monthly and with the help of the Municipal Chief Executive Officer, they were able to purchase the GH¢65,000.00 ambulance.


Accepting the ambulance  on behalf of the hospital,  Mr. Joe Mensah, the Administrator of the hospital said all could learn from this exemplary life of the staffs of this hospital.

 Adding that the work of God is also a service to mankind thereby appealing to all and sundry to come to the support of the health institution.


On behalf of the Kotoku Traditional Area, the Kontihene of the above mentioned traditional area - Obirempong Gyamfi Sarfo Kyere II said the hospital really needs a lot hence appealed to all and sundry to help since the facility is really helping.

There has been reports nationwide about the unavailability of ambulances in the various hospitals.
