BREAKING NEWS: NDC MP joins flagbearer race


The Member of Parliament (MP) for Cape Coast South, Mr Kweku Ricketts – Hagan has officially notified the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of his intention to run as flagbearer.
Mr Kweku Ricketts in a letter dated August 10, 2018 to the General Secretary of the party, promised to bring onboard a new start and a new direction anchored on the party’s principles and values, of accountability, probity, social justice and tranquility that will brighten the party’s future ahead of the 2020 elections.
“This will give us a realistic chance of winning back power in 2020”, he said.
According to him, he is of the firm belief that the NDC party if well strengthened and reinvigorated to reflect the modern aspirations of its members will continue to remain relevant to Ghanaians because it is naturally the only political party.

He said the NDC will genuinely develop the resources nature has endowed the country with by making use of full of mobilization of talents emerges of the citizenry to solve the teething problems of poverty in order to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.
His emergence brings to 6 the number of persons who have expressed interest in leading the NDC ahead of the 2020 polls.
So far Professor Joshua Alabi, Mr. Sylvester Mensah, Mr. Alban Bagbin and Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah have all announced their intentions to contest the presidential candidacy of the opposition NDC including Mr. Stephen Atubiga.
